Raymond Mhlaba Secondary School ICT Centre
Tshepisong, Soweto | Gauteng
The SAME Foundation is raising funds to establish a fully equipped computer centre at Raymond Mhlaba Secondary School, a no-fee school serving over 1,300 learners in Tshepisong, Soweto.
Many learners come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds — with over 60% relying on social grants and 40% dependent on the school nutrition programme. Limited ICT infrastructure is a major barrier to academic success and digital literacy.
The Project
We will convert the school library into a modern computer centre with:
40 fully networked learner computer stations
Complete ICT furniture and renovations
Servers, UPS backup, projector and printer
Teacher training and three years on-site support
Investment Required
Total Project Cost: R986,219
This centre will directly benefit 1,375 learners, equipping them with essential digital skills for further education and future employment.
With SAME Foundation managing implementation and accountability, your support will help bridge the digital divide and unlock opportunity.
Free to Live. Free to Learn.
