The Inanda Community Health Center (CHC) was converted to a 24 hour clinic due to the demand of trauma in the area. The highest concern of the hospital was the mortality rates due to violence and vehicle accidents in the area, accounting for over 50%. The Inanda management expressed the need for adequate medical equipment for the Trauma Unit to bring the mortality rate down by 20%.
Our Foundation was approached to meet the need of life-saving medical equipment for this CHC. We raised just under R2 Million for a Defibrillator, Vital Signs Monitors, Mobile X-Ray Machine, ECG Machine, and more to assist the clinic with their average of 160,000 patients.
