Marvin Park Primary School is situated in Macassar, and is a no-fee paying school, and has been in existence for almost 50 years. The school originated as a township school from the group area act. Established by the De Beers factory for the children of its workers who lived in Macassar. 

The school is tremendously under resourced in terms of specialised classrooms and a shortage of educational equipment.

The SAME Foundation partnered with the school to help fully equip and provide the school with a brand new state-of-the-art science laboratory with interactive whiteboards to help increase the pass rates in STEM education.
