Vukukhanye Primary School is located in Gugulethu and teaches 677 pupils. This community consists of 300 000 people with an unemployment rate of 70%.
Students at the school are taught science as one of the main subjects however, it is difficult for them to learn as they do not have the necessary equipment.
SAME Foundation approached the school to help provide them with a new science laboratory that fits 30 learners, which will help provide learners with the proper equipment and resources as per the syllabus.
